Kodra e Gjelber

A collaboration with TehnoBurimi, as part of the architectural competition announced by the Islamic Community of Kosovo. The project location is located in the center of Mitrovica, at the clothing market, with a plot of 42 acres, and has direct access to "Adem Voca" street.

In terms of spatial planning, the building is set back from the street, offering more comfort for residents and space for an attractive square in front of the building for business functions. The structure's overall shape is "L" shaped, which is divided into three sections, each with 3 to 4 residential units per floor. The ground floor and mezzanine are dedicated to business functions, thus preserving the history and character of the area and the traditional use of space in this region.

The arcades, an important element in the business area, convey the spirit of the Ottoman architecture of the surroundings, playing a key role in shaping the character of the building. To enrich the aesthetics of this structure, it is proposed to use a ventilated facade and green marble, a color that symbolizes the rich mines of Mitrovica and its industrial history.

The architecture of this building is characterized by steep forms in the attic, which contribute to the visual strengthening of the building and emphasize its important position in this location.
