Monolit

The house is conceived as a quiet monolithic presence emerging from the ground, where verticality becomes the defining architectural gesture. A composition of distinct volumes rises from the terrain, establishing a clear relationship with the surrounding landscape.

Organized across three levels, the project follows a legible functional hierarchy. The ground floor accommodates the primary living functions—living area, kitchen, and social spaces—directly connected to the outdoor terrace and landscape. The first floor is dedicated to the private sleeping areas, where bedrooms are positioned to ensure privacy while maintaining carefully framed views. The basement level contains ancillary and service spaces.

Vertical elements articulate the composition, acting as anchors that emphasize height and a sense of permanence. Stone defines the material expression, grounding the house within its context while reinforcing its monolithic character.

Openings in the façade are conceived as precise architectural frames rather than conventional windows. Carefully proportioned, they capture fragments of the surrounding landscape, transforming them into composed interior views. In this way, nature is perceived as a sequence of curated scenes, allowing interior and exterior to visually merge.

The boundary between inside and outside is softened, enabling light, vegetation, and distant horizons to extend the spatial experience beyond the built form. The presence of surrounding greenery, particularly the tall trees to the east, introduces subtle atmospheric changes throughout the day.

The result is a grounded yet permeable dwelling, where materiality, verticality, and framed views establish a continuous dialogue between architecture and landscape.
